Men's blouses: what is it and how to choose?
Each nation has a national dress, which is its pride and property. Even if it does not fit into fashionable canons, its popularity and relevance is out of fashion. Many designers derive their ideas from national clothes. One of the striking examples of this is men's blouse shirts.
Peculiarities
Few are familiar with the word "kosovorotka", although many people know about such shirts and even have their modern versions in their wardrobe. This unusual name means a men's shirt, which is part of a traditional folk costume. Such a wardrobe element is characterized by a beautiful pattern, often embroidered. This feature is characteristic even of everyday models.
The men's blouse owes its name to the features of the collar., or rather, a cut - it is located not in front, but on the left side. The collar is optional. In the old days in Russia such clothes were worn by everyone: women, children, men and old people. Initially, the blouse was long, covering the knees. Over time, the length has decreased.
History of origin
To date, there are several theories of the origin of such an interesting shirt. It is not known which of them is reliable, so you can choose any that you like best.
- This clothing originated in Slavic culture by itself. The first written mentions date back to the 17th century, but in fact, the braids appeared at least 2 centuries earlier.
- According to another theory, the idea of such a shirt was taken from the Turkic peoples, with whom the Russians were actively trading.
- The emergence of the kosovorotka in Russian culture was facilitated by the invasion of the Mongol-Tatars, who already at that time wore shirts with an offset cut.
In addition to theories, there are hypotheses that some researchers suggest.
- The offset incision made it possible to conveniently and securely hide the pectoral cross. The braid did not allow him to fall out.
- These cut features provide good protection from wind and cold air.
- The oblique gate can also be taken from military traditions. The cut on the left side was typical of chain mail. This feature provided good neck protection.
Advantages and disadvantages
Kosovorotkas are still quite popular clothing now. The secret of this success lies partly in the advantages that the item of clothing is characterized by:
- high comfort and freedom of movement;
- high aesthetic value;
- a large assortment of models that can be exactly like the shirts of the Russians, as well as radically differ and correspond to the canons of modern fashion;
- holistic, authentic image;
- wind protection.
We could not find any shortcomings, which is good news.
Materials (edit)
Previously, the traditional Russian shirt for men with a slanting collar was created mainly from hemp linen. Subsequently, other materials began to be used.
- Cotton is an affordable option, from which shirts for every day are usually created. Due to the naturalness, the body breathes, the feeling of comfort remains throughout the day. Cotton is easy to care for and is therefore practical.
- Linseed The blouse is pleasant to the touch and has an attractive appearance. Linen is considered the more expensive and high performance material. Therefore, linen shirts are highly valued.
- Silk - This is an expensive material from which festive shirts are created, suitable for special occasions. Silk blouses look gorgeous, with the right choice of the image, they can even be combined with business suits.
Synthetic threads are often added to natural materials. This is done to increase the practicality of the product, its durability and ease of maintenance. Synthetic material should be present in small quantities, natural threads should still remain the main ones.
Colors
There are several color variations in which the blouses look the most successful.
- White shirts are the most common options. This is a classic that is always in trend.
- Red color is symbolic and fits perfectly for blouses. In this color, a men's shirt looks bright and expressive. Small print and embroidery look good on red. Even without such additional decor, blouses do not look boring.
- Black shirts with an offset neckline are an interesting option that is in demand among men. A small print may also be present on a black background, which makes each model more interesting. Embroidery on black material looks especially impressive.
These colors are the most common, but that doesn't stop designers from experimenting with other options.
Where and with what to wear?
Modern blouses are a unique wardrobe item. They suit almost any occasion, making them versatile:
- creating a festive image;
- city walks;
- office looks.
The kosovorotka is now, as before, worn out. The Rusichi used a sash, thus belting the shirt. Now the sash is used only for creating thematic images.
For modern men, it is recommended to wear a blouse with jeans and classic-style pants. You cannot create sports images with her. The kosovorotka itself is elegant and expressive, therefore you need to combine clothes in soothing colors and a restrained style with it.
