• Such glasses have a greatly reduced resistance to heat transfer, therefore, when glazing in this way, the temperature in the room will be only 5-7 degrees higher than outside. For use in the summer, this is a great option, but in winter you cannot rest on such a balcony.

The second type is semi-warm glazing, in which plastic window profiles with a sliding mechanism are used. This technology does not provide complete sealing, so the temperature on the balcony will be lower than in the room.

The main advantages of this method:

• plastic is lighter than aluminum, so the load on the plates is much lower;

• good sound insulation is provided;

• sliding windows take up little space, which is especially important if the balcony area is 3 sq. meters;

• drafts and dust from the street are excluded;

• low cost of materials.

Warm glazing is the best option for a 3-square balcony. The insulating glass units used for this type of installation have two or three chambers with a low degree of emission. This design provides complete insulation and a comfortable temperature even in winter.

Warm glazing is used if:

• it is necessary to enlarge the room by connecting it to the balcony;

• I want to equip a space for rest or work on a small loggia, make a warm and comfortable children's room on the balcony, something else.

Advantages:

• lack of drafts, moisture and dampness;

It is important to take into account the disadvantages of this design:

• high cost of materials;

• complexity of installation;

• heavy weight, requiring strengthening of the balcony slabs;

• reducing the amount of sunlight passing through the window.

• Panoramic. Especially popular with lovers of spacious rooms. A lot of natural light and a stylish balcony - this is how panoramic structures can be characterized. However, it is not so easy to maintain a spectacular appearance, you will need regular cleaning inside the loggia, as well as the help of a master to clean the windows outside. The price of such a pleasure is quite high, so it is worth carefully weighing all the advantages and disadvantages.

• Wooden frames. Glazing with wood is quite rare, although these works are carried out with minimal cost and in a short time. The basis of the frames is high quality wood, treated with an anti-mildew and mildew agent, as well as with refractory compounds.

• Aluminum profile. This design is resistant to external influences and low cost.

• Metal-plastic. The advantages of metal-plastic windows are an attractive appearance and a service life of at least 20 years. They are sound and heat insulated, so that the balcony can be used as a living space.

First of all, you need to purchase all the necessary materials and tools: double-glazed windows, window sills, self-tapping screws, ebbs and other trifles.

The main work begins with the installation of plastic window sills. - they fit on the parapet, after which, at a distance of 3-4 cm from the outer edge, it is necessary to drill holes into which self-tapping screws are screwed. The corners between the windowsills are closed with plugs.

The next step is to install the sheathing for siding: wooden bars are fixed vertically on the outside of the parapet with self-tapping screws.
