An important factor to consider when choosing a bed is its dimensions. This parameter often determines the comfort and convenience of the product. The standard length of the King / Queen size is 200 cm, their width is different: for the “king” it is 180-200 cm, for the “queen” - 153-160 cm. It is these dimensions that are universal, rational and suitable for spacious rooms, the design of which is made in various styles.

Different countries have slightly different standards. For example, European and American volumes are distinguished separately. The first is measured in centimeters, and its manufacturers produce "royal" furniture in 2 sizes: king with a width of 160 cm and a length of 200 cm, and a super king, which has a format of 180x200 cm.

American standards are slightly larger than European ones. US King size originates in the States, so it should be noted that it is this people who adore huge dimensions and transmit their love to the whole world. Dimensions in the United States are indicated in inches, although if furnishings enter the European or Russian market, they are still converted to centimeters we are used to.

The choice among American manufacturers is greater, but it has some problems with implementation in our country, since the Russians are not yet accustomed to such dimensions. Yes, and the variety of bedding on the domestic market is not so great, so you often have to sew bed linen for "Americans" to order.

• California king - 183x213.3 cm or 72x84 inches;

Before purchasing a "royal" bed for yourself, you should definitely measure the room where it will be located, since such an object may simply not fit in the room, especially when it comes to American models. It is also necessary to pay attention to the basis of the berth. For a person with a large physique, it is important to consider this point with particular care and choose a strong and high-quality material, since there is a risk of furniture breakage, as a result of which the resting person may be injured.

It is best to choose a wooden frame. It looks luxurious, demonstrates the wonderful taste of its owners, organically fits almost any design, very strong. True, often such products slightly "bite" in price. You can stop at the frame made of chipboard. This option is much cheaper, has good wear resistance, looks beautiful, and the artificiality is not at all visible.
