You need to decide on the design, dimensions and materials from which the bench will be made. Its functionality, ergonomics depend on this, as well as whether it will be combined with other furniture or balcony furnishings.

• Prepare 3 or 4 wooden pallets... Some will have to be sawed so that the structure can be assembled. Since balconies rarely boast of width, they will have to cut in any case.

• The simplest version of the bench: only two pallets are used, which are attached to each other perpendicularly, with the formation of the seat and back.

• The design cannot be bulky, therefore, pallets are initially sawn to fit the balcony. During assembly, all parts are attached to each other with self-tapping screws.

• For the rest, you must carefully cut off the front legs a little lower than the very part of the seat.

• The top finishing layer is removed from the blanks. Holes for dowels are drilled in the chair racks. First, the dowels are coated with glue, and then they are installed in the holes.

• For strength and reliability, the parts at the base of the bench are fixed with self-tapping screws.

• The surface needs to be sanded. A good board is selected in advance for the seat, which is attached to carpentry glue.

• And then finishing with preliminary impregnation with an antiseptic and subsequent painting.

These options do not require large investments, they do not offer to make a bench from scratch. All this, moreover, prolongs the life of old things, or rather, gives them a new form of existence.
